Career Advice

Stay energized through your work dayThe afternoon slump is a part of the day that’s almost impossible to avoid — so what can you possibly do to stay energized during this dreaded time? We have three solutions for you. Give’em a go and then let us know if they helped you pull through!

1. Exercise.
Throughout the day, be sure to leave your desk. Make a lap around the office. Take a 15 minute walk outside. At the very least, stand up and then touch your toes. Challenge a coworker to a quick pushup contest. You’d be surprised how quickly just even a little bit of movement can help energize your body.

2. Help Someone.
It always feels good when you help others, right? So why not make it a part of your daily routine. The next time a coworker asks for help, raise your hand. One good deed could fuel you through the entire afternoon.

3. Ask for help.
Feeling uninspired or completely stuck? Before you hit rock bottom, ask a coworker for some assistance. Whether you need someone to bounce off ideas, someone to show you a better way to do something, or just a quick break to take your mind off an upcoming deadline, your coworker can help you out.
